Vivo Energy Namibia, the company that distributes and markets Shell branded fuels and lubricants, is extremely proud to showcase Shell’s fuel technology along with Ferrari, its technical partner in Namibia.
On Thursday, Windhoek residents had a close-up look of various models of the Ferrari. Driving from the Tacoma Shell service station along Independence Avenue to the Lafrenz Shell service station, the five Ferraris drew huge interest and larger crowds.
Some spectators got a once in a lifetime chance to view the Ferraris up-close, and got their questions answered by Ferrari experts.
For those who missed the parade, the Ferraris will be on show at the Gobabis Rally and the two Shell services stations in Gobabis on Saturday. These stations are the Spandiens service station and the Gobabis service station.
Johan Grobbelaar, Vivo Energy Namibia’s MD says: “Shell’s commitment to innovation through motorsports, together with Ferrari, is an integral part of its extensive Research and Development programme. This is key to making better fuels for our customers.”
Grobbelaar further says: “Shell’s technical partnership with Ferrari provides us with an environment to test Shell V-Power fuel in extreme conditions. This provides us with a better understanding of what will deliver improved power and performance.”
It is important for our customers to understand that Shell V-Power fuel contains 99% of the same types of compounds found in the Shell V-Power race fuel being used by Scuderia Ferrari in the FIA Formula One World Championships. In addition to that, every new Ferrari leaves the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello with a full tank of Shell V-Power Fuel.
Shell customers can also benefit from this unique fuel, as Shell V-Power is available to all customers at all our retail service stations. Do visit any Shell service station and fuel up on Shell V-Power.
Shell V-Power fuels are a result of over 60 years of inspiration, innovation and shared passion for performance with Ferrari in the motorsports arena.
Shell is one of the oldest motorsport stakeholders since 1917 and has moved on to become progressively involved in all major forms of motorsport since the 60’s. Shell understands that all fuels are not the same, which is why the company is committed to making better fuels for our customers and their cars. The scientists at Shell are passionate experts, who globally work together to continually innovate Shell premium fuels so that our customers can get improved performance through advanced technology.
“We are confident that all stakeholders, including the drivers, will understand that Shell V-Power is indeed a unique performance enhancing fuel formulated through Shell’s advanced technology and inspired by the company’s technology innovations for Ferrari,” concluded Grobbelaar.
