Vivo Energy Kenya, the company that distributes and markets Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in the country and KFC have officially opened the KFC Thika road Drive-through located at Shell Northview on Thika road.

Convenience Retail is a key growth agenda for Vivo Energy. The company continues to invest in this initiative to position Shell service stations across Africa as the destination of choice for all motorists.

Convenience retail has been a success in Nairobi. By the end of 2016 Kenya will have added over 20 offers which range from restaurants, ATM’s, franchised workshops, parking areas, shops and billboards.

Speaking during the launch, Vivo Energy Group CEO Mr. Christian Chammas said Vivo Energy has made motorists’ lives easy by bringing in partners that offer a variety of services ranging from food offers, mini supermarkets ATM’s. Pharmacies and shops at Shell Service Stations. The partners are a composition of local and international brands. SafeDose Pharmacy was also opened.

Speaking during the launch KFC Managing Director, Mr. Derrick Van Houten said that KFC Drive- Through located at Shell Northview on Thika road is a strategically positioned outlet given the heavy traffic on Thika road which is a source of customers for the outlet. He appreciated the iconic partnership between Vivo Energy Kenya and KFC on this establishment and was optimistic of future KFC additional outlets at Shell Service stations.

During the same event, Vivo Energy Kenya rolled out a Shell V-Power consumer campaign that will run for the next 8 weeks. The campaign is about driving motorists’ excitement at Shell Service stations. The campaign will be carried out at 75 Shell service stations that are currently selling Shell V-Power.

The objectives are; To educate Kenyan motorists on the benefits of Shell V-Power for their cars, To continuously remind them that Shell service stations are the only service stations in Kenya that sell a high octane fuel (RON 95) whose formulation reduces friction and acts instantly and to demonstrate that Shell V-Power gets the best out of their cars.

Over the next 8 weeks customers will be rewarded with instant give-aways. Motorists will also get an opportunity to share their Shell V-Power experiences and the best will be rewarded.

There will also be a day within the campaign where customers will purchase Shell V-power at the price of regular fuel and thus get a chance to experience it.

Motorists will also have the opportunity to submit their “bucket list” of items and during this promotion Shell V-Power will make some of these wishes come true.
