School kits donation to Ankorondrano public primary school

On 7th October 2014, Vivo Energy Madagascar handed out school kits to 300 year 7 and 8 pupils at Ankorondrano public primary school to support parents in the new school year. Each school kit contained a bag, a workbook and pencils.

At Vivo Energy, we want to make a real and lasting difference to the communities in which we operate. We have chosen to focus on three key areas of community investment.

Our community investment programmes matter to us because we employ local people and serve local businesses and individuals. We want to create lasting social and economic benefits for these communities and engage with them to earn their respect and trust.

Education is one of the three key areas of Vivo Energy’s community investment strategy. With this initiative, Vivo Energy Madagascar demonstrates its willingness to help promote education in the country.

In his speech, Pramoth Domun, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Madagascar, stated that education is a collective responsibility for the future and training children is a way to build a better future.

The school kits were handed out in the presence of Mr Bernard Le Goff, Vivo Energy’s Regional Vice-President for Eastern and Southern Africa.  The President of Ankorondrano Fokontany also attended the event.
