Vivo Energy Madagascar held an event at the Public Primary School Charlotte Ratsirahonana in Ankorondrano on 10th July to raise awareness on environmental protection among students.

Corporate Social Responsibility is very important in carrying out the activities of the Company Vivo Energy Madagascar.

We are aware that in general, our activities affect the society and the environment. That is why we are constantly looking for ways to improve our social performance and contribute to sustainable development.

This year, we have planned to educate around 100 pupils of the EPP Ankorondrano, aged between 10 to 14 years old. We have chosen the theme of environmental protection with two important components: fight against deforestation and waste management.
Representatives of employees of Vivo Energy Madagascar took part in this initiative. During this awareness day, we explained to the pupils their roles and responsibilities in protecting the environment. The aim is to raise awareness on the long-term environmental impacts of their present and future actions.

After sensitization, we organized a drawing competition; the pupils had the opportunity to put on paper a visualization of their future environment.

The top three pictures were rewarded with surprise gifts.

As a contribution to the preparation of their exam, we also donated school stationery to the pupils. As we sensitized on the issue of waste management, we also made a donation of bins to the Ankorondrano Primary School Public School Charlotte Ratsirahonana.
