Shell Mukono was furnished with a service point that offers motorcyclists exclusive services and adequate attention.

Vivo Energy, the company that distributes and markets Shell branded fuels and lubricants, recently commissioned these customised service stations at selected Shell Service Stations – Shell Boda Spots.

Commercial motorbike operators commonly referred to as Boda Bodas form a great percentage of the transport segment in Mukono providing transportation to passengers within Mukono town and surrounding areas including the Mukono Kampala route and will greatly benefit from the specialized and dedicated service that will be offered at the customized service points.

Robert Kabanda, Speaker Mukono  Municipality and Guest of Honour at the launch of the Shell Boda Spot in Mukono, commended Vivo Energy Uganda for their effort in providing Boda Boda riders and other motorcyclist’s  a better and more dedicated experience at Shell Service Stations.

The Shell Boda Spots are complete with an exclusive fuel service point and offers a new specialized lubricant product - Shell Advance for motorcycles with a 4 stroke engine. They are located away from the vehicle fueling points at the forecourt to allow for dedicated attention to their unique needs and to improve efficiency at Shell Service Stations. The Boda Spots offer motorcyclists the opportunity to purchase any desired amount of fuel. 
Speaking at the launch of the Shell Boda Spot  and Shell Advance Oil at Shell Mukono, Hans Paulsen - Managing Director Vivo Energy Uganda stated that the company is continually innovating and is committed to offering distinguished and convenient services specific to consumer needs.

"We would like to offer all motorcyclists an opportunity to experience our convenient and proficient service in a space specifically dedicated to them. We have considered the unique needs of our motorcyclist customers and designed a special fueling point, with a special lubricant for servicing your motorbike. We believe the motorbike is an important investment for the motorcyclists and we want to ensure your investment is well protected." He added.

Shell Advance is the new lubricating oil designed by Shell specifically for servicing Motorbikes.

Ssematimba Ibrahim, a Boda Boda operator from Kabwakaganda stage located in Ndeeba won a brand new motorcycle in a draw that was carried out during the launch, and filled excitement he expressed his appreciation to Vivo Energy Uganda for giving him an opportunity to boost his Boda Boda business. His brand new motorcycle was fuelled with a full tank of Vpower to set him off on his road to success.

The excited motorcyclists led by renowned musician, Ragga Dee, thrilled the town with a ride from Seeta to Shell Mukono Kibuye where they had an opportunity to experience the exclusive service at one of the newly commissioned Mukono Shell Boda Spot.

During the launch, Ragga Dee implored Boda Boda riders to use Shell Advance oils to service their motorcycles as it is specifically designed for motorcycles. He compared other oils to medication for headache prescribed to treat stomach ache and explained that the new Shell Advance oils are specifically made for motorcycles and thanked Vivo Energy Uganda for giving motorcyclists their own space at the fuel station.
