Vivo Energy Ghana, has officially re-opened its upgraded and expanded largest Shell Services Station in Ghana at the Airport City. The over two-decades old station which is affectionately called Airport Shell was re-opened amidst pomp and pageantry to the admiration of guests including the Deputy Minister of Petroleum, Diplomats from the Netherlands, Indian and British High Commissions in Ghana, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, the Paramount Chief of La Traditional Council among other dignitaries and captains of industry.
The new Airport City Shell has 18 filling points to ensure speedy, easy and hassle free refueling, other non-fuel services such as an ultra-modern Shell Select Shop, lube bay, first class tyre centre, ATM farm, quick service restaurant and other specialised shops such as pharmacy, gift shop and travel and tour services. It is also worth mentioning that, in line with Ghana’s Disability Act 715, Vivo Energy Ghana has also provided appropriate facilities that make Airport Shell service station, accessible to persons with disability.
The Chief Executive Officer of Vivo Energy Group, Mr. Christian Chammas disclosed that Accra Airport City was growing fast and as a company, committed to the changing needs of its customers, Vivo Energy has upgraded and expanded the Airport Shell Service Station to meet new trends and the growing demands of this dynamic community.
He emphasized that it is the objective of the company to expand its retail network by bringing the Shell brand closer to the people of Ghana and providing them with high quality fuels, lubricants, shops and other convenience retail products like Lube Bay, Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), etc.

Some lucky drivers had their vehicles filled with free fuel by the distinguished guests of honour including Hon. Benjamin Dagadu, who represented the Petroleum Minister, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, The Group CEO of Vivo Energy Christian Chammas, the Dutch Ambassador to Ghana, Indian High Commissioner and a representative for the British High Commissioner.
