Vivo Energy Conducts Schools Road Safety and Zizi the Zebra Competition
Vivo Energy Uganda has brought together 20 primary schools to compete on road safety in a bid to motivate and reward champions and enhance their road safety knowledge at a competition held at UMA Conference hall in Kampala.
Vivo Energy is the company that distributes and markets Shell branded fuels and lubricants in Africa. The company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programmes focus on road safety as well as education and environment. Through its road safety education programme, the company has invested in training children to develop a community of over 6000 road safety ambassadors in the 52 schools that currently participate. These children are involved in several activities to enable them master good road safety behavior that they can pass on to their friends and family. The company also runs road safety programmes among drivers of bodabodas, taxis and buses.
