Vivo Energy Botswana, the company that distributes and markets Shell branded products and services, officially opened its second ‘welcome’ shop today, at Shell Jeffmore service station, Plot 50645, Riverwalk, along Tlokweng road, Gaborone.
‘welcome’ is a convenience retail brand, developed by Vivo Energy, for its service stations across the African market to meet the changing needs of customers. The ‘welcome’ shop promises to give customers “more than they expect” through more offerings and improved shopping experience. The shop has a bakery and other facilities to provide customers with a quick snack and other exciting offers.
The ‘welcome’ brand is being progressively rolled out to various Shell service stations across the country. The first “welcome” shop was opened at Shell Marang Francistown on 11th May 2018. ‘welcome’ offers convenience, variety and optimum satisfaction to customers.
Addressing guests at the official launch the Retail Manager, Ms Bonolo Laletsang, said: “The opening of the second ‘welcome’ convenience store is a true testament of our intention to grow the business in Botswana and make a real contribution to the communities where we operate. This echoes the real convenience that we want to bring to our customers. As Vivo Energy Botswana, we are undertaking an expansion plan to offer more service and value at our service stations in order to meet and exceed our customers’ needs and expectations, whilst allowing them to enjoy a great shopping experience. Our plan is to open more “welcome’ stores by the end of 2019 at Molepolole, Serowe and Pilane.”
This development brings more convenience options as well as valuable employment opportunities to the youth of Botswana and the community at large. Vivo Energy Botswana prides themselves on excellent customer service and to continue providing the country with a wide variety of its convenience retail offer.
Today’s launch of another “welcome” shop brand is in line with Vivo Energy’s objective to continually lead the innovation drive to meet the changing needs of customers, and further reiterate its leading position in convenience retailing in the energy sector, within the country and across Africa at large.
