Vivo Energy Botswana, the company that distributes and markets Shell branded products and services in Botswana, has officially launched the Lobatse JV SACCOMALL Shell service station, strategically located at Maokaneng Ward, Plot 2557 next to Lobatse Civic Center.
This service station opening is the result of collaborative efforts by Bilateral Complex (Pty) Ltd, a joint venture between Selibe Phikwe Miners SACCOS and LTC Itshetseng SACCOS. This brings the overall number of Shell service stations to 80 in the country.
Mr Wayne Kingwill, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Botswana, said: “The new site opening is part of Vivo Energy Botswana’s expansion strategy to bring Shell products and services closer to customers. These investments in our retail network expansion demonstrate Vivo Energy’s commitment to developing its business in Botswana and its ambition to continue to exceed the expectations of our valued customers. The widespread network of Shell service stations across Botswana makes it convenient for customers to access quality products and services across the country.”
On giving a key note address at the official launch, Assistant Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Honourable Biggie Butale applauded Vivo Energy Botswana for the new service station which brings benefits to the community of Lobatse and surrounding areas as well as employment opportunities for the youth of the area.”
He encouraged site staff to pride themselves on excellent customer service: “If customers are impressed by your service, you are sure to have them come again”, he said. He concluded by urging motorists to visit the site to help grow the business and create more future opportunities for youth.
