Vivo Energy Uganda has made shopping at Shell Select stores more rewarding for customers who spent at least 50,000 Uganda Shillings at participating Shell Select stores countrywide, between October 2017 and January 5th 2018.
For each visit that was made to a Shell Select store, customers were required to spend at least 50,000 shillings to enter a draw that would enable them stand a chance to instantly win airtime, or a weekly draw to win free shopping worth 50,000 shillings, and a grand prize of a kitchen makeover including fridges, microwaves, blenders, kettles, deep fryers and rice cookers.
At a draw made on the 15th January 2018, five lucky people emerged as winners of the kitchen makeover and these are: Adyeri Eva (shopper from Shell Ambercourt – Jinja), Kasozi Grace (shopper from Shell Buddu in Masaka), Namakula Claire (shopper from Shell Mulago), Kitunzi Noordine Umar (shopper from Shell Kireka) and Kakooza Joseph (shopper from Shell Entebbe).
Speaking at the award ceremony, held at Shell Banda, Gilbert Assi, Managing Director Vivo Energy Uganda said “As a market leader, defending our position involves staying meaningful and relevant for our customers. We continuously give them reason to choose us as we make our Shell Select stores a convenient offer for our customers. The promotion aimed to reward our most loyal customers as a way of expressing our appreciation. We encourage the public to continue shopping at our Shell Select stores for even more exciting promotions this year.”
The winners expressed their appreciation and joy on receiving their prizes. Noordine Umar was overjoyed when he received the phone call informing him about his prize. He feels more motivated to continue shopping from Shell Select and pledged his continuous support.
Namakula Claire, another winner from Shell Mulago, added “I am so happy… I can’t believe I am a winner. Thank you Shell for this wonderful prize.”
This promotion was meant to revamp our Shell Select stores by offering a wider range of services to both motorists who fuel and service their vehicles at Shell, as well as shoppers seeking quick and convenient shopping.
At the ceremony Assi concluded: “On behalf of Vivo Energy, I would like to thank you, our customers, for showing consistent confidence in our services and for continuously selecting the Shell brand over others.
I would also like to thank our partners, and our staff, who have made it possible to deliver convenient solutions to our mutual customers. We are proud of this partnership and look forward to many more customer centred innovations in the future.”
