We are expanding our power offering, primarily in the mining sector, to include alternative power solutions, particularly in solar and hybrid.
Solar power is increasingly in demand, as it offers a cost-effective energy solution which is environmentally friendly. Where the situation demands, we also provide hybrid power solutions which combine solar power with traditional energy supply such as petrol and LPG.
We are proud to have completed our first commercial solar contract in 2022, at the Nampala Gold mine in Mali, our first contract with one of our commercial customers to provide a hybrid solar and fuel energy solution.
Vivo Energy now supplies carbon free power to the Nampala mine through its equity funded solar hybrid project. This project required zero capital injection by Robex Resources, while reducing the carbon footprint of the mine by around 60,000 tonnes over ten years, and also making a material reduction in the mine’s cost of energy.
The mining industry is keen to reduce its carbon footprint and Vivo Energy is proud to contribute to this with its innovative partner Robex.
