Joining forces to stop famine caused by drought

Vivo Energy Kenya, the company that distributes and markets Shell products and services in the country, is proud to announce the donation of 35,000 litres of diesel to the National Steering Committee on Drought Response.

4.35 million Kenyans are suffering the effects of the ongoing drought in Kenya and as a company that recognizes the importance of giving back to our communities, we are committed to supporting efforts that alleviate the impact of droughts on vulnerable communities. The donation of 35,000 litres of diesel aims at aiding the Wakenya Tulindane initiative which was launched by H.E President William Ruto. Through the National Steering Committee on Drought Response, the initiative aids the drought response activities in the country.

This initiative symbolizes the need for Kenyans to join hands to safeguard our people and our country from the effects of drought. Their work is critical in ensuring that the most vulnerable members of society are protected during times of hardship.
