Tema, Ghana - 11 February 2026: Vivo Energy Ghana PLC, the exclusive marketer and distributor of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, has commissioned a new Shell service station at Michel Camp as part of efforts to expand access to quality fuels, lubricants and non-fuel retail services.

The new service station is expected to create employment opportunities for young people within the Michel Camp community while supporting local economic growth.

The opening ceremony brought together the Executive Vice President of Vivo Energy West Africa, Mr. Franck Konan-Yahaut, traditional authorities, government agencies, community members, business partners and the media, to celebrate the moment.

Shell Michel Camp service station forms part of Vivo Energy Ghana’s growing retail network, which currently includes 25 Shell service stations nationwide. The facility is designed to provide motorists and residents with proven premium fuel products and modern convenience offerings.

Speaking at the commissioning, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr. Christian Li, said the new station demonstrates the company’s continued investments in Shell mobility - to make journeys better for our valued customers.

“Shell Michel Camp features Shell’s New Mobility Visual Identity, which reflects the company’s modern retail concept and enhanced customer service experience. This represents our commitment to delivering more than just premium fuel. We aim to provide convenience, efficiency and high-quality service to our customers while contributing to community development,” he stated.

The Shell Michel Camp service station offers Vivo Energy Ghana’s new and improved Shell Fuels, introduced last year. The fuels include Shell V-Power, formulated to clean critical engine parts and improve engine performance, and Shell FuelSave, which is designed to improve fuel efficiency and help motorists travel longer distances per tank.

In addition to premium fuel, the facility includes a Shell Select convenience shop, offering a wide range of everyday consumer products, a Quick Service Restaurant operated by KFC, providing customers with additional lifestyle and dining options, a Pharmacy to ensure that the community has close access to medical supplies and a Shell Lube Bay to offer reliable lubrification services.

Vivo Energy Ghana continues to expand its retail footprint while strengthening its role as a trusted partner in Ghana’s energy sector. The company invites customers to visit the newly opened Shell Michel Camp station to experience its modern facilities, premium offerings and exceptional services.
