Vivo Energy Mozambique Expands its Service Station Network in Partnership with Camel Oil

Marracuene, 3 October 2024 - Vivo Energy Mozambique, representative of the Engen brand and exclusive authorised distributor of Shell lubricants, inaugurated a new Engen N1 service station in Mumemo, Marracuene. This station opening is the result of a strategic partnership with fuel and lubricants distribution company Camel Oil. With this new collaboration involving 12 stations in the Maputo province, expanding Vivo Energy Mozambique will expand its network to a total of 58 operational stations nationwide, strengthening its presence in the Mozambican market.

The new Engen N1station not only supplies fuel but also has a car wash, an oil change center, and a convenience store fully equipped to meet our customers' daily needs. It contributes to boosting local trade and strengthening the region's economy.”
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Maghivelani Simão, the municipality's Councillor for Economic Activities, Transport, Communication and Traffic, who represented the President of the Marracuene Town Council, Shafee Sidat. The event also brought together other important figures, such as Mr. Eurico Mavie, representative of the Secretary of State for Youth and Employment, Mr. Zuber Aleem, Camel Oil’s Country Manager, Mr. Joaquim Jibambo, Retail Director Vivo Energy Mozambique, as well as the entire management team of Vivo Energy Mozambique.
During his speech, João Oliveira e Sousa also pointed out that, of the 12 filling stations involved in this partnership, five are already in operation, three are under construction and/or in refurbishment until end 2024, and the remaining four should be operational in early 2025.
Since its entry on the Mozambican market in March 2019, following the acquisition of Engen, Vivo Energy Mozambique has seen significant growth, expanding from 19 stations in 2019 to 58 today, with a presence in all provinces of the country. This accelerated expansion reflects the company's ongoing commitment to offering accessibility, quality and innovation in the provision of its services.
