Lusaka, Zambia – 18 December 2025 – Vivo Energy Zambia and the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone (LS-MFEZ) are set to take environmental sustainability to new heights as Project Restoration holds its second planting activity on 18 December 2025 at the LS-MFEZ, with plans to plant over 3,000 trees.

Building on the success of the inaugural July 2024 event where 2,500 trees were planted as part of a 10,000-tree commitment, this milestone activity sees the initiative grow significantly with new partners joining the movement toward a greener Zambia.

The expanded coalition now includes Civacon Concepts Limited, Shimuna Engineering Limited, British American Tobacco (BAT), Lacuna Transport Limited, Hamington Global Logistics, and Chima Chama Investment Limited, all united in their commitment to environmental restoration.

Project Restoration represents Vivo Energy Zambia's ambitious commitment to plant one million trees over the coming years, addressing climate change while fostering community engagement and environmental stewardship.

Speaking on behalf of Edward Walugembe, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Zambia, Choolwe Kanyemba, Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, stated: "We are honoured to deepen our partnership with the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone and welcome our expanded coalition of partners on Project Restoration. This initiative represents our collective commitment to environmental stewardship and the communities we serve. Together, we are planting the seeds of a greener, more sustainable Zambia for generations to come."

The 18 December event promises to be a landmark occasion as the growing coalition of partners unites to accelerate progress toward the one-million-tree goal.
