Our LPG Academy: Investing in our people
At Vivo Energy, our greatest strength lies in our people. That is why we continue to invest in developing the technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and cross-market collaboration that will fuel our long-term success. Our LPG Academy, launched in partnership with Butagaz France, is a powerful example of this commitment.
What is the LPG Academy?
Over the past two years, we have delivered three immersive Academy sessions in Aix-en-Provence, France – bringing together talented colleagues from across our Operating Units, as well as experts from Butagaz France and members of our Central teams.
Throughout the week-long Academy, participants engage in interactive learning sessions, knowledge-sharing workshops, and a site visit to the Butagaz France LPG filling plant in Rognac. These activities are designed to provide valuable insights into the full LPG value chain - from operations and safety to customer excellence.
Each Academy delivers an intensive five-day training programme, followed by six months of personalised coaching tailored to each participant’s development plan.
In collaboration with Butagaz France, the LPG Academy is designed to enhance technical capabilities, deepen expertise, and strengthen collaboration across Vivo Energy. This initiative supports our ambition to be Africa’s leading and most respected energy business.
Our impact to date
Across the three sessions, 41 participants from 12 of our LPG markets have already taken part, with 23% female participation. This diversity of experience, gender, location, and professional background enriches every discussion, strengthens peer learning, and reflects our belief that an inclusive organisation is a stronger organisation.
The LPG Academy is a strategic investment in developing strong LPG subject matter experts, empowering our teams to grow our LPG business sustainably while building rewarding futures within Vivo Energy.
With three sessions complete and more to come in 2026, the Academy continues to strengthen collaboration across our markets and ensures we are building a fit-for-purpose LPG business grounded in best practices, operational excellence, and a culture that values continuous learning.
