Nakuru, Kenya - 10 July 2026: Vivo Energy Kenya, the company that distributes and markets Shell products and services in the country, has marked a major milestone in its growth journey with the opening of its 350th Shell service station in Kenya.

Shell Basic 58 service station is the eleventh (11th) Shell service station in Nakuru town, reflecting the company's continued investment in one of Kenya's fastest-growing economic hubs. 

Speaking while opening the service station, Vivo Energy Executive Vice President for Retail and Commercial business Mr. Arnaud Guichard noted that the opening of the service station is commitment to the Company’s growth agenda. “The launch of this service station symbolises our enduring commitment to Kenya’s growth story. Each new location strengthens our presence across this vibrant country, creating jobs and supporting local economies.”

He added that: “Understanding consumers has always been our strength. This station incorporates learnings from across our retail network, ensuring we meet the unique needs of local customers while maintaining the world-class standards they expect from us. We are aware that motorists appreciate one-stop locations where various errands can be done.”

Also present at the event was the Vivo Energy Kenya Managing Director, Mr, Peter Murungi who highlighted on the significance of partnering with local brands: “Shell Basic 58 service station demonstrates how we partner with local brands as we continuously fuel the economy of our country. At this service station, we will partner with various brands including Quickmart Supermarket, a brand that originated from Nakuru. We are not only opening a service station here at section 58, but also strengthening a home-grown partnership.”

Customers can already enjoy shopping at Quickmart and with Good Life Pharmacy, Chicken Inn and Pizza Inn set to open soon, the station will soon become a convenient one-stop destination for fuel, shopping, dining and essential services.

The opening of the 350th Shell service station reinforces Vivo Energy’s strategy of delivering greater convenience, reliability and value to Kenyan motorists and communities, while supporting local economic growth through investment, employment opportunities and improved access to essential services.
